Three Levels of Christmas

Early Christian mystics, speak of a Christmas with three levels of meaning.
The German monk, Johannes Tauler, in 1350 CE, states it thus;
" The first [Christmas] is ...the Birth ,within the Godhead, of the only Son of the Heavenly Father,
divinely begotten by him and distinct from Him in person only.
The second is His human birth,when Mary became His mother .....
The third is the spiritual birth, where every day and every hour, God is born
into the souls of all persons, through grace and love."

Programs will start again in March 06 ; no public programs in January and February but the building will be open as usual...

St Augustine, in 4th century Africa, speaking of this spiritual birth, says ;
"It was a more blessed thing for Mary, that God was concieved spiritually in Her soul, than that He had been physically conceived in Her body."

This theme, of the Inner Reality of Divinity, in everyone and in everything, just waiting to be unveiled by God's Grace and our own personal effort, will be explored by Swami Tapasananda, in the context of the teachings of several other great world religions .

At noon, Reverend Sacha Bier, will conduct a special Christmas Day service with Christmas Carols
At 1PM, a Christmas luncheon will be offered.
